If you choose to self-cater, the shops in Castiglione (less than 5 km away) provide all of the fresh food and supplies you'll need for your stay. Want to dine out? Anna provides a list--and colorful review-- of the many area restaurants where she knows the owners personally. Most highly recommended, however, is to request private dinners (usually on site) provided by Rosanna--a true Umbrian treasure--or by other wonderful cooks in the area. Words alone cannot do this place justice as Villa Gioianna is truly a wonderful and addictive experience--this will be our third annual visit and hopefully there will be many, many more. Brava Anna!
