Be inspired in your creative endeavors by the colors, lighting and landscapes of Umbria and Tuscany. Bring your own materials and dabble at your leisure while staying at the Villa with family or friends. Or, concentrate on art and relaxation while someone else worries about providing fabulous meals and handpicking stunning locations. We would be pleased to refer you to several excellent travel professionals and teachers providing specialist photography, painting, quilting and creative writing instruction and workshops at the Villa. (Please inquire for contact details of workshop providers.)
Learn to speak the language of love in sublime surroundings. Tucked into a corner on a narrow street in a pretty little medieval town are a studio and a teacher that will unlock the secrets of this musical language for you. Beginners can take a “taster” course of five hours, one hour per day, and then go out into the living laboratory around them to practice their new skills. Longer-term private and group lessons available at all levels. (To ensure availability, please schedule well ahead of your arrival. Payable separately to school.)

Seek great art in obvious locations and stumble upon it in unexpected nooks and crannies. Within a reasonable drive are all the magnificent treasures of Florence, Rome, Siena and Assisi. But even closer you will find fabulous art in sleepy little villages and out-of-the-way places. Such as a splendid little church frescoed by Renaissance masters, once used by previous owners as an animal stall, now restored and proudly maintained in a family-run winery. Or the painted ceiling of the town hall of a lakeside town, or the amazing frescoes in one of seven (!) churches in a heartbreakingly pretty hilltop town high above the Lake.
